Job summary

Dexcom Inc. seeks a senior data scientist to leverage large-scale bench, clinical, and real-world data to drive product performance, reliability, and user experience.

You will design scalable analytics, build models, and lead data-driven explorations in a fast-paced medical device environment. Applicants should have a quantitative background with strong SQL and Python/R/MATLAB skills, plus experience in health sensing time series data and stakeholder leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Masters or PhD in a quantitative field considered an advantage.
• Experience deriving insights from health sensing time series data.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and programming languages (Python, R, MATLAB).
• Experience handling datasets of varying sizes and cleanliness.
• Ability to manage stakeholders in complex projects and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable analytical tools, dashboards, and data workflows for visualizing product behavior.
• Develop models, ML solutions, and advanced analytics to inform product development.
• Lead exploratory initiatives to evaluate new hypotheses and opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership in data science and analytics for key programs.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, designers and team members.
