Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field plus 5+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree plus 10+ years of experience in data science.
• Demonstrated ability to drive multi‑year technical strategy across multiple teams.
• Exceptional ability to communicate architectural tradeoffs and quantitative results.
• Experience with model fine‑tuning and multi‑modal architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term Data Science technical strategy.
• Make org‑level decisions balancing multiple competing interests.
• Resolve architectural patterns for Data Science across teams.
• Mentor senior ICs and influence hiring for the DS talent pipeline.

Skills

Expert-level fluency in multiple DS specialty areas

Advanced programming skills in Python

Fluency in ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow

Experience with data tools like Pandas and NumPy

Advanced knowledge of GCP technologies

Education

PhD in a quantitative field or Master’s degree with relevant experience
