Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises seeks a Lead Data Scientist to act as a strategic advisor, solving business problems with data to reduce costs and improve member experiences. You will partner with stakeholders to extract insights from enterprise data, build predictive models, and deliver scalable analytics across departments.

We expect strong statistics, SQL, and Python skills, plus experience with cloud platforms and dashboard tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience leading projects or cross-functional initiatives.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large datasets.
• Strong Python experience for data analysis, statistical modeling, and ML.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Experience applying statistical techniques and inferential methods.
• Experience developing, validating, deploying, and monitoring ML models in production.
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Solve business problems presented by stakeholders using data.
• Partner with business teams to understand challenges and deliver insights.
• Pull, curate, and analyze data from enterprise platforms and cloud environments.
• Apply statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
• Develop and deploy ML models to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable analytics solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain ML/predictive models for production use.
• Automate analytical workflows and implement AI-powered solutions.
• Communicate findings via dashboards and presentations to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists and lead cross-functional initiatives.
