Job summary

Roblox is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to own Engine Infra metrics, telemetry, and validation for the RCC fleet and edge compute. You will build scalable analytics to drive efficiency and reliability at scale.

You will transform raw telemetry into dashboards, support data-driven decisions, and lead experiments to improve multiplexing, ARM bursting, and latency. Collaboration with game engine and infrastructure teams is essential.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years as a Data Scientist with high-volume telemetry analysis experience.
Experience building scalable data pipelines and reporting.
Ability to debug complex, ambiguous system failures using first-principles reasoning.

Responsibilities

Define Metrics — Own Engine Infra metrics, telemetry logging, and validation for RCC fleet and edge compute.
Transform & Visualize Data — build analytics pipelines and dashboards for fleet signals.
Design Experiments & Apply Causal Inference — lead channel tests and A/Bs for multiplexing and latency.
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration — partner with multiple engineering and product teams to debug issues and find opportunities.
