Job summary

NASIC seeks an Expert Data Scientist to serve as the principal technical authority for data science, AI, and analytics across NASIC contracts. On-site at NASIC facilities, you will lead the design and implementation of next-generation analytic capabilities and enterprise IA/AI/ML workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 18 years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Advanced Mathematics, Data Engineering, or closely related field.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams in IA/AI/ML algorithms, LLMs, or advanced signal processing architectures.
• Direct experience building analytical data frameworks conforming to DoD/IC/EA standards.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance for on-site NASIC facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB.
• Experience with NASIC Unified Cloud (NUC), DAF Cloudworks, or modern cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with vendor data structures and the NSG TPED mission framework.

Responsibilities

• Designs and leads enterprise-wide IA/AI/ML analytic strategies and modernizes NASIC’s digital landscape.
• Translates complex data capabilities into actionable insights and executive dashboards for leadership.
• Formulates data strategies and governance aligned with IT roadmaps and Zero Trust principles.
• Authors and delivers monthly Data Science & Analytics Progress Reports to NASIC leadership.
• Leads strategic communications and policy creation to align technical and intelligence groups.
• Collaborates with CDO/CAIO to align analytics with cloud migrations and secure data flows.
