JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop, analyze and model operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data to quantify the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. Analyze organizational data to recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, quantify the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets; model and evaluate the potential impact of changes. Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high volume data from a variety of sources. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 2 years of experience using SAS, R, or Python or similar statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets; working with statistical methodologies, including linear regression and logistic regression, performing statistical modeling and using data mining techniques, including GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Trees, and text mining; analyzing and processing large data sets and matching/merging multiple data sets using big data analytics tools such as SQL or similar languages; using visualization tools like Power BI or advanced features of MS Excel, including pivot table VBA macro and statistical packages; and visualizing/presenting data to stakeholders; and working in property and casualty insurance data analytics or marketing data analytics.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
