Vanguard in Malvern is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to lead large, complex analytics initiatives and guide cross-functional teams. You will assess model quality, risk, and business impact while translating business questions into analytic plans.

You will mentor junior data scientists, perform data wrangling, and apply statistical and machine learning methods to drive data-informed decisions. The role operates within a hybrid work model and supports strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ten years of analytical work experience.
• Experience with data wrangling and large-scale data prep.
• Experience with statistical and machine learning methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of large-scale analytics projects with QC and risk assessment.
• Perform deep dive diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive analytics and mentor juniors.
• Identify data inconsistencies and fill data gaps.
• Engage with senior leadership to translate requirements into analytics.
• Design tests and validate models; deliver insights to leaders.
• Deliver insight presentations and recommendations; support cross-functional initiatives.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
