Webstaurant Store, the world’s largest online restaurant supply company, seeks a full-time Data Scientist to add statistical rigor to analytics initiatives and uncover actionable insights for growth and optimization. This role may be remote in some US states or based in Lititz, PA or Tampa, FL.

The Data Scientists will translate complex retail problems into state-of-the-art data science solutions and partner with engineers to deploy high-quality models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in Data Science or a related field.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Proven ability with statistical methods and modeling; bonus for ecommerce analytics domains.

Responsibilities

• Advise on analysis and modeling techniques for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to implement advanced statistical methods.
• Conduct exploratory analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive/prescriptive analytics.
• Translate business problems into data science solutions and measurable interventions.
• Develop processes to monitor model performance and data quality.
• Design and run experiments to glean actionable insights.
• Explain predictive models to non-technical stakeholders.
