Job summary

GRVTY is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to support an IC program building an enterprise-scale analytics and data management framework for geospatial intelligence. You will work on a system being built from the ground up, with real influence over design and implementation.

The role focuses on applying ML, statistics, and data mining to large-scale geospatial datasets, creating automated IV&V workflows, and delivering production-quality pipelines in collaboration with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field; equivalent experience considered.
• 9+ years of professional experience in data science, ML, or applied analytics with production-quality deliverables.
• Strong Python programming skills with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy.
• Experience building end-to-end analytical pipelines that run in operational environments.
• Experience with large, complex, multi-source datasets and data quality remediation.
• Ability to communicate methods and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working in structured government program environments with deliverables and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply ML, statistics, and data mining to extract metrics from geospatial and imagery datasets.
• Design automated analytical workflows for IV&V evaluation of GEOINT data across sources.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and processing multi-source geospatial data at scale.
• Integrate analytical components into the broader system architecture so models run in production.
• Evaluate output quality, identify failure modes, and iterate to improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to align analyses with mission requirements and communicate findings clearly.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, validation approaches, and limitations for program continuity.
• Contribute to trade studies and capability assessments as data types expand.
