Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist SME to lead data science, AI/ML, and analytics efforts for the Chinook Program. You will translate mission needs into actionable analytics, build and deploy advanced models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for an IC customer.

The role requires top‑secret/SCI clearance, strong leadership, and hands-on technical engagement across data science, software, and operations.

Qualifications

12+ years demonstrated experience in Data Science or senior technical roles
Experience applying statistical analysis and ML/AI to complex problems
Geospatial analytics and remote sensing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Serve as senior technical authority for data science and AI/ML
Lead design, development, validation, and deployment of ML models
Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and insights for mission objectives
Develop and operationalize AI/ML capabilities including NLP and predictive modeling
Collaborate with engineers to integrate analytics into production CI/CD pipelines
Mentor data scientists and review models, code, and documentation
Communicate findings and risks to leadership and stakeholders
