Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Scientist Senior Associate within the Payments Data & Analytics Customer Insights team to lead analytics and GenAI initiatives that deliver actionable merchant and consumer insights for Chase Merchant Services.

You will build scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and SQL, design prompts for AI models, collaborate with product and data teams, and communicate findings to senior leadership to inform product strategy and business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in STEM or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with LLMs and GenAI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Frame business problems, define hypotheses, metrics, analyses, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Develop scalable datasets and pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, and Python for repeatable reporting and analytics.
• Design and refine prompts to improve AI model performance; test for reliability and effectiveness.
• Lead GenAI solution development with SMEs and product partners; translate needs into prompts and workflows.
• Monitor AI model performance and implement updates for quality and relevance.
• Collaborate with data owners, product managers, data engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable solutions.
• Present results and insights to stakeholders and senior leadership; support ad hoc analytics requests.
