Job summary

DataVisor, the AI-powered Fraud and Risk Platform, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Fraud Detection team in Mountain View. You will build production ML models and personally lead investigations into fraud cases, turning findings into detection improvements.

This dual-track role emphasizes end-to-end model development, feature engineering on large-scale data, and clear communication with technical and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of applied experience in fraud detection, cybersecurity, or related adversarial/high-velocity risk domain.
• Solid understanding of classic machine learning models (Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with the machine learning lifecycle in a production environment.
• Investigator mindset: pattern synthesis, hypothesis testing, and triaging signal from noise in ambiguous cases.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with SQL; PySpark is a plus.
• Experience with large-scale data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Model Development: lead full lifecycle of fraud detection models from ideation to productionizing and monitoring.
• Advanced Feature Engineering: create predictive features from large-scale data including user behavior, device intelligence, network graphs, transactions.
• Large-Scale Data Processing: work with billions of events using Spark, SQL, and our AI platform.
• Agentic AI & Automation: build analytic pipelines and reusable tools to speed up investigations and reporting.
