Location: Remote

Job Summary:

Notes: Computer vision model experience is a must. Please include a detailed write-up on your experience with computer vision models.

Key points:

• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and translate those into decisions and actions. Ability to explain technical concepts including statistical inference, machine learning algorithms, software engineering, and model deployment pipelines.
• Competency in the mathematical and statistical fields underpinning data science.
• Ability to develop, coach, and teach career-level data scientists in data science, AI, and machine learning techniques and technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Python and R.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Econometrics or Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.

Desired Education: Master’s degree in one of the above areas.

Minimum Experience: 4 years in data science (or 2 years with a master's degree).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Technical Competencies:

• Knowledge of data science standards and processes, including model evaluation, optimization, feature engineering, and best practices.
• Competency in software engineering, statistics, and machine learning techniques as they apply to data science deployment.
• Proficiency with common data science and operations research programming languages, packages, and tools.
• Hands-on and theoretical experience with data science/machine learning models and algorithms.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and explain technical concepts in depth.
• Strong foundation in the mathematical and statistical principles of data science.
• Mastery of systems thinking and structuring complex problems.
• Ability to develop, coach, and teach data scientists in AI/ML techniques.
• Desired: Experience building computer vision models.
• Desired: Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, GroundTruth, and SageMaker.
