Job summary

The role requires a Master’s in a quantitative field and 5–7 years of ML experience, with Python or R and ML tools. PhD preferred; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a quantitative discipline (Biomedical Informatics, CS, ML, math) with 5–7 years in ML/data science.
• PhD strongly preferred with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML tools; design, eval, deployment at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead data-oriented projects including development, deployment, and evaluation.
• Design and build data solutions using ML/informatics methods; deploy within NYU Langone Health ecosystem.
• Work with large, complex clinical datasets to solve healthcare problems.
• Build and engineer data collection, storage, cleaning, and processing workflows; ensure data integrity.
• Manage data scientists, engineers, and clinicians for testing and improvement of models.
• Collaborate with NYULMC healthcare community on predictive modeling reports.
• Present results to varied audiences, outlining processes, models, and ROI.
