Job summary

Socure is the leading provider of digital identity verification and fraud prevention solutions. We seek a Senior Data Scientist to join the Digital Intelligence team, driving ML features and models using device, network, and behavioral data.

You will surface insights from high-volume data and collaborate across engineering, product, and risk to build scalable risk signals and robust ML workflows. This role offers growth into leadership over time.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years of experience in data science or applied ML, including production environments.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with large-scale databases and data modeling.
• Proven track record deploying ML models in live systems, ideally with streaming data.
• Proficiency in Python and distributed computing tools.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow.
• Strong communication skills to explain results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing experiments and validating models on noisy real-world data.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and influence product or risk strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy advanced ML systems for device identification and fraud prevention.
• Contribute to scalable data pipelines and production ML workflows.
• Investigate high-complexity signals and apply statistical methods for fraud detection.
• Translate business problems into modeling approaches using supervised and unsupervised methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and risk teams on data architecture decisions.
• Lead experimental design, A/B testing, and validation to ensure model generalizability.
• Contribute to ML explainability, risk evaluation, and feature logging standards.
• Document methodologies and communicate results to technical and executive audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists and participate in cross-functional groups.
