Job summary

Leidos in Chantilly, VA seeks a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop and analyze large data environments. You will consolidate diverse data sources and enable data-driven decisions across programs.

You will lead data quality initiatives, collaborate with software engineers and analysts, and support ML/AI lifecycle deployment in CI/CD workflows to deliver actionable insights for mission needs.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 10+ years.
• Experience managing, integrating, or troubleshooting data flows between applications and systems.
• Understanding of how data is generated, transformed, transferred, and consumed across systems.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, integration, and related processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how data processes integrate with app development.
• Experience with ML/AI capabilities and translating data challenges into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement methods to collect, integrate, transform, manage, and analyze large data sets.
• Develop advanced statistical concepts, queries, and automated processes to clean and model data.
• Analyze data flows between applications and identify improvements for quality and accessibility.
• Identify analytical data requirements and develop solutions supporting mission objectives.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to integrate data across environments.
• Support ML/AI capabilities by understanding data requirements and lifecycle.
• Maintain automated data processes and support data integration in CI/CD environments.
• Investigate complex data issues, determine root causes, and provide practical fixes.
