Job Summary:

BNY is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data & Analytics team. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in applied machine learning and large language models, along with a collaborative mindset and strong business acumen. If you’re passionate about data science innovation and solving complex challenges, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced AI/ML models, including GenAI and LLM solutions, from proof-of-concept to production.
• Apply the scientific method to generate insights and support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand goals, KPIs, and data challenges.
• Access, understand, and leverage diverse data sources across the organization.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging AI/ML technologies; recommend innovations.
• Take ownership of deliverables, demonstrating a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Produce detailed model evaluations, documentation, and risk assessments for compliance and standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, AI/ML; experience in financial services or credit domains is a plus.
• Advanced degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to build and deploy machine learning and GenAI/LLM models.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch; experience with GPT models.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated creativity through patents, publications, or innovative solutions.

Pay Range:

Min: $86.3/hr, Max: $107.88/hr USD
