Abbott Park, IL-based Senior Data Scientist (Computational Biophysicist) will turn complex data into insights to drive business decisions and product improvements. You will lead analytics, build and deploy ML models, and work with stakeholders to define goals and success metrics.

You will mentor data scientists, shape best practices, and apply analytic strategies across biophysics and computational biology domains to create impact on diagnostics and health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with additional progressive research experience; equivalency possible.
• Doctorate degree with experience presenting results to diverse groups.
• Ability to train others on techniques, processes and assays.
• Familiar with project planning, process updates, and experimental design.
• Life or Physical Science background with up to two years of research or industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to solve business problems.
• Develop, validate, and deploy ML models and predictive algorithms.
• Analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Design end-to-end analytical strategies addressing critical business questions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices and processes.
• Communicate model logic and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences.
