BMW Bank of North America, LLC, Salt Lake City, Utah, invites a Sr. Data Scientist to join our analytics team. You will lead data discovery and modeling efforts, partnering with data engineers and product managers to deploy ML solutions that impact revenue, cost, and risk.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of data science experience, SAS/Python/R expertise, and strong SQL/data warehouse skills. This hybrid role spans Utah or Ohio offices with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field; quantitative Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ professional data scientist experience in a corporate setting.
• Strong ML/model development skills and deployment experience.
• Proficiency in SAS, Python, R; familiarity with TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• SQL expertise and data warehouse concepts; experience with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead data discovery, preparation, and cleansing across multiple sources.
• Design, develop and deploy predictive/prescriptive models to drive outcomes.
• Translate business objectives into data science problems with clear visualizations.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, IT, and analytics teams for production readiness.
• Lead SAS projects, support SAS server administration and vendor evaluations.
• Support governance activities and contribute to data governance and model risk.
• Mentor colleagues and promote analytics adoption and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
