Job Description

Our client, an AM Law 50 firm, is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist and BI Specialist at their offices in New York City. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual salary of $160K to $220K plus a performance-based bonus and excellent benefits package. The position will allow for remote work one day a week.

The Senior Data Scientist and BI Specialist is responsible for analyzing complex data sources and translating them into business solutions via AI/Machine Learning and Business Intelligence platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement Business Intelligence solutions to meet the business needs of Practice Groups and Business Professional departments.
• Perform data analysis and apply transformations against both structured and unstructured data to unlock business insights.
• Develop dynamic Data Visualizations and Reports based on complex business requirements.
• Curate and prepare data for use with LLMs and train/tune models as needed to achieve project objectives.
• Collaborate with Practice Groups and Business Professionals areas to determine how best to leverage AI technologies to enhance business processes and introduce new capabilities.
• Work closely with Network Systems, Information Security and Electronic Information Governance to teams to ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Follow established SDLC methodologies and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an approved and accredited college.
• Legal experience preferred.
• 5+ years’ development experience building Data Visualizations and Reports using Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau. Power BI preferred.
• 5+ years’ development experience with AI/Machine Learning/LLMs.
• Experience with relational database design/modeling SQL scripting. Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages to perform data cleaning and apply transformations to analyze structured and unstructured data.
• 5+ years’ development experience using Python or C#, REST-based APIs and software development kits (SDKs).
• Able to work independently, as well as within a team, and take the lead on projects.
