Job summary

Workato is seeking a Middle / Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to join its AI team. You will design, build, deploy, and improve ML/LLM-powered services that power intelligent automation across the Workato platform.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to define metrics and experiments, delivering reliable AI-driven product experiences. The role emphasizes strong ML/LLM intuition, software engineering fundamentals, and a practical mindset for shipping

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in ML engineering, data science, or similar.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with NLP and/or LLM-based systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI services using LLMs and ML models for production.
• Design, develop, and operate ML/LLM systems end-to-end from prototyping to deployment.
• Write high-quality Python code that is testable and maintainable.
• Improve validation, observability, and monitoring for ML services.
