Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for Supply Chain Optimization at our Bentonville location. You will design and deploy intelligent agents to optimize delivery promises, routing, and root-cause analysis across end-to-end workflows.

You will work with LangChain, PyTorch, and state-of-the-art LLMs, building scalable NLP solutions and integrating with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to ensure low latency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering (any), or related field plus 1 year of experience in analytics or a related field; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering (any), or related field.
• Experience with building DL model architectures in Python using PyTorch and TensorFlow for NLP tasks.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks, cloud platforms, and data processing libraries as described in the job listing.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy intelligent agents to optimize delivery promises and routing across supply chain workflows.
• Leverage LLMs and trainable model architectures to build NLP solutions including context engineering and tool calling.
• Ensure scalability and observability of AI/ML systems in production environments.
