LinkedIn is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to own high-impact, end-to-end data problems. You will define metrics for product strategy, analyze marketplaces, and evaluate AI-native features with engineers and PMs to drive roadmap decisions.

You will translate findings into actionable insights, build predictive models, and communicate results to internal customers. This role blends statistics, experimentation, and AI-enabled product work in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., CS, Statistics, OR, Economics).
• 3+ years of data-heavy industry or academia experience.
• Proficient in SQL; programming in Python/R/Scala.
• Experience with applied statistics and modeling.
• Experience telling stories with data and visualization tools.
• Experience running platform experiments and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Designs and runs data-driven experiments and causal analyses for product ideas and GTM strategies.
• Evaluates A/B and causal tooling and partners with teams to analyze ramp performance.
• Leverages AI tools to increase day-to-day productivity.
• Translates business problems into data-verifiable hypotheses for internal customers.
• Develops models and analyses to uncover drivers of KPI relationships.
• Diagnoses issues and identifies AI/LLM improvement opportunities.
• Prototypes data solutions and collaborates to operationalize scalable tools.
• Embeds best practices and mentors junior team members.
• Communicates scoping and findings to guide prioritization and strategy.
• Develops and runs predictive models to estimate initiative impact on KPIs.
