Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a data science professional to develop automated analytics products and advanced data science solutions addressing complex business and client questions, with a focus on improving clinical, operational, and economic outcomes.

You will apply machine learning, NLP, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics to structured and unstructured data, collaborating with product and engineering teams to advance capabilities from research to production.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and advanced data science methodologies.
• Experience with end-to-end data science workflows, including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and visualization.
• Proficiency in programming and analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, MATLAB, Java, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop data science solutions, automated analytics products, and actionable insights across multiple projects and domains with minimal guidance.
• Translate emerging concepts and business needs into testable solutions through experimentation, rapid prototyping, validation, and iterative development.
• Apply machine learning, natural language processing, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics techniques to structured and unstructured data.
• Evaluate technical and business feasibility, analyze results, and refine models and methods through successive development cycles and continuous feedback.
• Apply expertise across data discovery, structuring, cleaning, enrichment, statistical design, modeling, validation, deployment, and insight delivery.
• Make autonomous analytical decisions related to exploratory analysis, model development, methodology selection, visualization, and deployment based on project objectives.
