Lumenalta is seeking a senior Data Scientist to partner with cross-functional teams, translating business goals into data-driven solutions. You will build statistical and ML models to support decision-making and perform EDA to uncover insights. Requirements include 5+ years in data science, strong statistics, SQL for data extraction, and Python for modeling.

Ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential. IoT/sensor data experience is a plus.

What You'll Work On

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models that support decision-making across the business.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, correlations, and insights that inform technical and business decisions.
• Collaborate on data preparation, wrangling, and transformation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of model inputs and outputs.
• Establish best practices for modeling, validation, and presenting analytical findings to a diverse audience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or similar role, with hands-on experience building statistical or machine learning models.
• Strong background in statistics and quantitative analysis — e.g., regression, classification, clustering, or segmentation.
• Experience with statistical model development and deployment is required.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and Python (e.g., scikit-learn, statsmodels, pandas) for modeling.
• Familiarity with data storytelling and the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with sensor/telemetry/IoT data is a plus, particularly in motorsport, high-performance car tuning.

Location

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
