As part of our analytics team, you will work directly with real customer issues and data generated in real time. Your role involves analyzing large-scale datasets, with your insights leveraged by customers to create value. You will have opportunities to develop your skills with guidance from senior team members, using various data tools to analyze complex datasets. You will also manipulate our machine learning platform to improve and build insightful models, gaining experience in operational model development. Responsibilities

  1. Develop advanced machine learning algorithms to enhance our proprietary modeling platform and deliver greater value to customers.
  2. Refine and tailor machine learning models to fit diverse customer scenarios and align with our strategic vision.
  3. Identify and incorporate new data sources, such as the US Census Bureau, to expand our data assets and validate their usefulness.
  4. Use tools like PySpark, R, Python, or Excel to clean and prepare data for analysis and modeling.
  5. Perform descriptive and statistical analyses to uncover patterns that inform customer decisions, ensuring insights meet their needs creatively.
  6. Assist in preparing presentations and materials to demonstrate insights and educate customers on our methodologies.
  7. Present findings and models to clients as a technical expert, industry insider, and advocate for our solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience working with large datasets and creating models to solve customer problems; familiarity with insurance data modeling is a plus.
  3. Deep understanding of statistical modeling, including parameter tuning and model validation.
  4. Proficiency in Python or R, with familiarity with PySpark and Excel.
  5. Strong analytical thinking, independence, and logical reasoning skills.
  6. Creative, open-minded, and positive attitude when facing challenges.
  7. Ability to conduct independent research and pursue meaningful progress.
  8. Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  9. Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  1. Adhere to all security and confidentiality policies, including proprietary information, acceptable use, access control, business continuity, change management, code of conduct, asset management, data policies, encryption, and information security policies.
  2. Make conscientious decisions about information sharing, respecting security and confidentiality standards.
  3. Be available during regular business hours and respond promptly to urgent requests outside those hours.

Salary Range: $154,000.00 - $174,000.00
