Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will analyze unstructured data with NLP and LSI, develop ML approaches, and visualize results through dashboards, influencing strategic decisions within national security contexts.

The role requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience transforming data with APIs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies (JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, REST).
• Experience with machine learning, algorithm analysis, and data clustering.
• Experience with Python scripting, Pandas, Excel, and Jupyter Notebooks; proficiency in Python and R.
• SQL for database querying; ability to build dashboards and communicate insights using data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in analyses of unstructured and semi-structured data using NLP, LSI, and EDA techniques.

Senior Data Scientist

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Senior Level Data Scientist at Boeing Intelligence and Analytics, you will be collaborating with a dynamic team to suggest innovative concepts and ideas to improve the overall data and intelligence platform. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in the analyses of unstructured and semi-structured data, employing advanced techniques such as latent semantic indexing (LSI), natural language processing (NLP), and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
• Utilizing non-traditional approaches to analyze large-scale unstructured data, visualizing results through multi-dimensional interfaces.
• Researching and testing novel machine learning approaches for analyzing large-scale distributed computing applications. Leveraging strong technical and computational skills to interpret complex data and deliver recommendations for business decisions.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

• 18 Years of experience in Data Science or Software Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master’s Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret, TS, TS/SCI, TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Reference all required qualifications in accordance with customer protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies such as JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, and/or REST
• Experience with machine learning, algorithm analysis, and/or data clustering
• Experience with Python scripting, Pandas, Excel, and/or Jupyter Notebooks and/or programming language proficiency in
• Python and/or R, with SQL for database querying being essential
• Ability to build dashboards and communicate insights using data visualization tools

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$230,000 - $234,500
