MISO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist – Market Evaluation to advance statistical and economic analyses of market operations, pricing, demand, and design. You will develop predictive analytics, build dashboards, and lead full project lifecycles to identify emerging market trends and potential issues.
Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience in data science or economics, strong Python/R/SAS skills, and expertise in ML frameworks and visualization tools.
Even better if you have experience with energy market forecasting and analysis, power system operations, statistical or econometric analysis, electricity market design, or related software development. Previous experience with a Regional Transmission Organization (RTO), Independent System Operator (ISO), utility, or other energy market participant would be especially valuable.

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to help shape how MISO responds to rapidly growing large-load demand while strengthening the connection between where the grid is headed and what it needs to reliably deliver today.
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $119,000-$144,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
