Job summary

o9 Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced forecasting and analytics for global retail organizations.

You will design and implement ML and statistical models to improve forecasting accuracy, collaborating with clients, solution architects, consultants, and data engineers to deliver scalable AI/ML solutions with measurable impact. Qualifications

• 4+ years of time series forecasting experience at scale, preferably retail/supply chain.
• Hands-on experience with hierarchical forecasting and heuristic-based models (LightGBM, ARIMA, Prophet, exponential smoothing).
• Experience in applied analytics within supply chain planning (demand/supply planning, inventory, pricing).
• Proficiency in Python for data science and ML; model validation and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Apply ML and statistical techniques (clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural nets, time series) to improve forecasting accuracy.
• Develop and optimize demand sensing and forecasting models (heuristics, ARIMA, Prophet, smoothing).
• Build analytics solutions for simulation and stochastic modeling.
• Develop APIs for real-time data integration.
• Communicate findings with assumptions and business metrics (Forecast Accuracy, MAP E).
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, solution architects, and data engineers to deliver projects.
