In the analytics team, you will work with real customer issues and data generated in real-time. Your role involves analyzing large datasets, with your insights directly creating value for customers. You will have opportunities to learn and use various data tools, manipulate our machine learning platform, and improve it to build operational models. Our culture encourages close collaboration across all business aspects, allowing you to excel in building our analytics processes and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop advanced machine learning algorithms to enhance our proprietary modeling platform, extracting greater value from data for our customers.
  2. Refine and tailor our machine learning models to fit diverse customer scenarios and company visions.
  3. Identify and validate new data sources, such as the US Census Bureau, to expand our core data assets.
  4. Use tools like PySpark, R, Python, or Excel to clean and prepare data for analysis and modeling.
  5. Perform descriptive and statistical analyses to identify patterns that inform customer decisions, ensuring insights meet client needs creatively.
  6. Prepare presentations and materials to demonstrate insights' value and educate customers on our methods.
  7. Present findings and models to customers as a technical expert and industry representative.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience working with large datasets and developing models to solve customer problems; insurance data modeling experience is a plus.
  3. Deep understanding of statistical modeling, including parameter tuning and model evaluation.
  4. Proficiency in Python or R; familiarity with PySpark and Excel.
  5. Strong analytical thinking, independence, and scenario analysis skills.
  6. Creative, open-minded, and positive attitude towards challenges.
  7. Ability to conduct independent research and pursue progress beyond trivial solutions.
  8. Attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
  9. Effective communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Adhere to all security and confidentiality policies, including proprietary information, acceptable use, access control, and data management policies.
  • Make conscientious decisions about information sharing, considering security policies.
  • Be available during regular business hours and respond promptly to urgent requests outside those hours.

Salary Range: $154,000.00 - $174,000.00
