Role: Senior Data Scientist
Location: Cary, NC. (Fully on-site position)
Rates: $68 to $55, depending on the type of contract (1099 or W2). This role IS NOT available on a C2C basis.
Work Authorization: This role requires you to be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying data science solutions that have delivered tangible business impact.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms, with a strong preference for GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Platform). Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) considered.
Responsibilities
Data Science Execution
- Deliver data science projects aligned with business objectives.
- Plan and implement key data science initiatives promptly.
- Implement parts or the entire data science lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and evaluation.
Technical Expertise
- Build and deploy predictive models, recommender systems, and other data-driven solutions.
Communication and Collaboration
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to managers.
Innovation and Research
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve effectiveness and drive innovation.
