About the job Senior Data Scientist (Contract)

Our client, a global professional services firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join their dynamic team for a 5-month contract engagement, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and project needs. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be crucial in analyzing complex data using statistical and machine learning models. Your work will provide valuable insights and drive data-driven decision-making processes within the organization.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience working with APIs, Linux operating systems, structured and unstructured databases, big data technologies such as Databricks and Spark, and cloud services.
  • Strong understanding and experience with natural language processing, generative artificial intelligence, and large language models.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in business analysis and familiarity with working in an Agile framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data using statistical and machine learning models to derive actionable insights.
  • Utilize Python for data analysis, visualization, and collaboration with APIs, Linux operating systems, databases, big data technologies, and cloud services.
