Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Data Science to lead data-driven pricing initiatives across billions of customer records using modern ML tools. You’ll work with pricing, analytics, finance, product, and partnerships to inform strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes pursuing innovative techniques, scalable data processing, and translating complex analyses into actionable business outcomes. This is a hybrid role with in-office presence three days per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field plus analytics experience
• At least 1 year using open source languages for large-scale data analytics
• At least 1 year of experience with machine learning
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional pricing, finance, data team to optimize revenue
• Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights from large data sets
• Build machine learning models through all phases from design to deployment
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals
