Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science for the Personal Loan Data team. You will lead a cross-functional group of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver data-driven products and optimize loan acquisition using large-scale analytics.

You will build and validate ML models using Python, Spark, AWS, and open-source tools, translating complex data into actionable business insights and strategic decisions across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 7 years of analytics experience
• Master's degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 5 years of analytics
• PhD in quantitative field plus 2 years of analytics experience
• 2+ years of experience with open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
• 2+ years of experience with machine learning and with relational databases

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large data sets
• Build ML models across development stages: design, training, evaluation, validation, deployment
