Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science to lead the Data Solutions and Model team in building ML models for fraud, risk, and merchant analytics. You will guide a diverse group of data scientists and analysts from design to deployment, partnering with software engineers and product managers to deliver business-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 11 years of analytics experience
• Master's or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 9 years of analytics experience
• PhD in a quantitative field plus 6 years of analytics experience
• At least 6 years of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
• At least 6 years of experience working with machine learning
• At least 6 years of experience utilizing relational databases

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of data scientists, business analysts and data analysts to develop machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
• Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, Spark, and more — to reveal insights from large datasets
• Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals
