Job summary

J T is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2/3) in Laurel, MD, to develop compliance analytics and data processing tools. You will build ML models, automate pipelines, and integrate with enterprise platforms in an R&D setting.

You will work with Python, Java, and Scala on Linux, performing feature engineering and validating ML methods, with collaboration via Jira, Confluence, and Git tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in Python/Java/Scala in Linux environments.
• Hands-on ML, data processing, feature engineering and ML model deployment.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab/Bitbucket for collaboration.
• Exposure to Scikit‑learn, MapReduce, and distributed data processing.
• Strong documentation and peer review habits are expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and maintain compliance automation tools and analytics.
• Implement, test, and validate ML/AI algorithms within an R&D environment.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis and feature engineering on complex data.
• Build, deploy, and monitor ML models, data flows, and telemetry.
• Integrate MapReduce workflows with backend data pipelines.
• Develop full-stack and analytical software using Python, Java, Scala, SQL, JSON in Linux.
• Collaborate using Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab/Bitbucket and document work.
