Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Data QA / Tester to validate data pipelines and dbt/Snowflake transformations. Strong hands-on data validation, SQL testing, and automated frameworks are required.

Responsibilities include designing SQL-based tests, building automated data testing frameworks in Python, and ensuring data accuracy, completeness and reliability across large datasets. Experience with Git workflows and Fivetran a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Testing / Data QA / Data Engineering Validation roles.
• Strong SQL expertise with experience writing complex validation queries.
• Hands-on experience testing dbt-based transformations, including schema tests, custom tests, models, snapshots, and transformation validation.
• Understanding of dbt project structure and workflows.
• Strong Snowflake experience, including data validation, reconciliation, micro-partitions, incremental loads, query behavior, and large-scale datasets.
• Experience building automated data testing frameworks using Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Git workflows, version control, pull requests, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Validate data pipelines and transformations developed by data engineering teams to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability.
• Design and execute SQL-based tests and automated data quality checks for Snowflake/dbt pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement robust data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Contribute to building scalable data testing frameworks and maintain test code in Git repositories.

• We are seeking a Senior Data QA / Tester with strong hands-on experience in validating modern data pipelines and transformation frameworks built on Snowflake and dbt.
• This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, reliability, and quality of data pipelines and transformations developed by data engineering teams.
• The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data validation, SQL-based testing, dbt testing frameworks, and automation.
• Experience with Fivetran-based ingestion validation is a plus, but the primary focus is testing Snowflake and dbt-based transformations.
