Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Lead Data Product Owner for its Real-World Data (RWD) organization. You will act as a healthcare data subject-matter expert, define best practices for data use, and partner with engineering, product, delivery, and client-facing teams to ensure data meets client needs.

Qualifications

8 years of experience in data quality, analytics, or data engineering, preferably in healthcare.
Hands-on experience with large, complex healthcare datasets.
Deep understanding of real-world data sources (claims, EMR/EHR, or lab data).
Proficient SQL skills and experience with data pipelines/warehouses.
Ability to independently lead work from assessment to execution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Define data element specifications and curation logic across data products.
Evaluate outputs against literature and evidence sources.
Develop knowledge of Norstella databases, ETL processes, and product offerings.
Design data quality checks across ingestion and harmonization.
Document methodological decisions with release notes and supporting documentation.
Identify recurring data issues and recommend process improvements.
Plan and execute data changes across engineering and client delivery teams.
Foster cross-functional alignment and clear communication among stakeholders.
