Job summary

Procore is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform to lead the team building streaming and lakehouse foundations that power data across the company. You will partner with data engineering, analytics, platform, and security teams to design, operate, and continually improve our streaming pipelines and Databricks lakehouse.

You will ensure secure, scalable, and trusted data for data-driven decisions at scale and report to the Director of Data Engineering.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience in data engineering or platform engineering.
• 5+ years in people management leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on with streaming technologies such as Kafka and AWS MSK, and lakehouse platforms such as Databricks.
• Experience operating production-grade data infrastructure with availability, performance and on-call ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a data engineering team responsible for streaming infrastructure (Kafka/MSK) and the Databricks lakehouse.
• Define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the data platform in alignment with data and analytics goals.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of streaming pipelines and lakehouse infrastructure.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to maintain data protection and access controls across the platform.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product stakeholders to understand data needs and prioritize platform investments.
• Manage platform costs and drive efficiency across streaming and lakehouse infrastructure.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
