Job summary

Quanata, LLC is seeking a hands-on Data Platform QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex data platforms and ML workflows. You will design scalable testing approaches and partner with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps to identify risks early, strengthening quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Typically 6–8 years of software testing experience, with at least 3 years in data platform or ML testing.
• Strong programming skills and experience building automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on testing of complex data platforms, pipelines, and distributed data processing systems.
• Knowledge of data validation, quality, integrity, and schema validation.
• Familiarity with ML concepts, workflows, and model evaluation methods.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, processing workflows, and ML models.
• Develop testing strategies addressing data quality, schema integrity, data drift, model accuracy, bias, and regression.
• Validate large-scale distributed data systems for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and operations to embed quality across the lifecycle.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and risks in new features and ML workflows.
• Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to testing standards and best practices.
