Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Sr Manager of Data Engineering to lead enterprise data platforms, delivery, and governance. You will drive scalable, secure data foundations and partner with Analytics, Governance, and Security to ensure reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency.

You will mentor data engineering managers, set standards, and oversee hybrid delivery teams across internal staff and partners to align priorities with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years in data engineering, integration, or platform delivery.
• 5–8 years leading data engineering teams in complex environments.
• Hybrid delivery teams with internal and external resources.
• Proven standards, modernization, and governance experience.
• Strong SQL, ETL/ELT, orchestration, and cloud/hybrid data platforms.
• Delivery of scalable pipelines, platform ops, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Cross-functional prioritization and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong communication, executive presence, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of data engineering capabilities.
• Oversee architecture decisions for scalable, secure data platforms.
• Drive modernization of data ecosystems on cloud/Lakehouse platforms.
• Own platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Manage delivery planning, backlogs, and multi-initiative execution.
• Define governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop data engineering managers and ICs.
