Job summary

Clay is seeking an experienced data platform leader who can own and evolve the live map of the working world. You will drive data modeling, source evaluation, and collaborative product development to deliver scalable data products used by thousands of customers.

You will work across product, engineering, and data science to ensure data quality, scalable serving, and efficient model-driven improvements, while shaping a robust data foundation for the platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on engineering experience building products customers rely on.
• Experience as a product manager and engineer delivering end-to-end ownership.
• Led ambiguous, cross-functional technical work from problem framing to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define data meanings by evaluating sources, resolving conflicts, and modeling entities for trust across the product.
• Prototype and test data models and products from customer problems to production experiences.
• Define how data lands, is modeled, versioned, and released, and how data reaches customers.
• Support interactive search, enrichment lookups, large result sets, and change alerts with predictable performance.
• Build with models and open-web data, validating when model-driven approaches beat deterministic pipelines.
• Establish quality gates and metrics to ensure data and model accuracy before shipping.
