Job summary

Qualifyze is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data pipelines and products. You will own end-to-end data flows across operational databases and the analytical platform, collaborating with Product and Backend teams to deliver accurate, timely data for product decisions.

Strong Python and SQL skills are essential, along with hands-on experience with production data pipelines in a product or platform team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT pipelines with strong testing and observability.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Hands-on experience with dbt in a layered project structure.
• Experience with Dagster or similar orchestrators like Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products.
• End-to-end management of features and pipelines from schema design to delivery of analytical datasets.
• Contribute to the architecture of the data platform and evaluate technical trade-offs.
• Improve data modeling, data quality, testing, and code review standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline incidents; improve observability and reliability.
• Share knowledge with the team and mentor engineers through pairing and code reviews.
