Job summary

Komodo Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Foundations team. You will design, build, operate, and improve large-scale data pipelines powering the Healthcare Map and downstream analytics.

This hands-on role focuses on processing healthcare data at scale, improving reliability, and collaborating with Data Product, Platform, and Engineering teams. Open to US remote, or SF/NYC hybrid.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building, operating, and debugging production-grade data pipelines at scale.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills; experience with Airflow.
• Experience with Spark and AWS for data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and optimize large-scale production data pipelines using Python, SQL, Airflow, and cloud infra.
• Transform healthcare datasets into trusted, ready-to-use data assets for the Healthcare Map.
• Strengthen pipeline reliability through data quality checks and monitoring.
• Debug complex data and performance issues across heavy workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to system design, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
• Enable analytics and AI/ML use cases with high-quality data.
