Job summary

Provable is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and scale our data infrastructure, pipelines, and APIs on GCP in a hybrid role. You will manage end-to-end data lifecycle—from ingestion of Aleo L1 blockchain indexers to API delivery for our privacy-focused wallets and explorer.

Responsibilities include building scalable data infra, optimizing pipelines, designing data models for zero-knowledge constraints, and deploying via Terraform/Helm.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a Data Platform/Data Engineering or core backend role managing production data systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript for API development and Python for data scripting.
• Expert-level SQL and deep experience optimizing relational databases (Postgres) and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery).
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure automation, specifically Terraform and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Excellent communication skills with end-to-end ownership of critical technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure in GCP.
• Build and optimize data pipelines fed by blockchain indexers to support our explorer, API, and analytics.
• Design data models that handle privacy and cryptographic constraints of Aleo’s zero-knowledge networks.
• Own, develop, and optimize APIs that serve data to mobile privacy wallets and external products.
• Manage and optimize databases, focusing on Postgres and BigQuery.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-performance APIs.
• Identify opportunities to optimize performance and cost of data platforms.
• Use infrastructure-as-code (Terraform and Helm) to deploy data environments.
• Help define the technical vision and evolution of our data platform.
