Job summary

Paradox is seeking a senior engineer to design and ship data infrastructure that powers our modern data platforms, pipelines, and AI-enabled layers. You will work closely with customers, the CEO, and a growing senior team to deliver end-to-end solutions that scale from dashboards to apps and agents.

You will architect platforms, model data for analytics and AI, and implement streaming pipelines using Kafka or comparable technologies.

Qualifications

• Client-facing role requiring clear communication with business stakeholders and delivery-focused trust.
• Significant experience building production data systems with senior-level ownership of architecture decisions.
• Deep understanding of modern data architecture and platforms (Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks) beyond mere usage.
• Hands-on experience building scalable, secure data pipelines, orchestration, and cloud infra (AWS or GCP).
• Strong data modeling opinions (Kimball, star schema, Data Vault) and ability to pick the right approach.
• Experience implementing streaming pipelines with Kafka, Flink, Redpanda or similar.
• Understanding AI-driven data platforms, semantic layers, metadata, and governance for reliable LLM/agent consumption.

Responsibilities

• Lead client projects and scope requirements with stakeholders.
• Present architecture decisions and tradeoffs to technical and business teams.
• Build and own end-to-end data platforms and pipelines for production use.
• Collaborate with CEO and senior team to shape platform direction.
• Deliver practical, results-oriented data solutions that balance rigor and speed.
