Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a Senior Data Engineer for its DGX Cloud Navigator data platform. You will own end-to-end data systems from ingestion to serving, building robust pipelines that support fleet health, utilization, and cost analytics across cloud providers.

You will lead architecture discussions, implement scalable data solutions, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams. This role emphasizes security, reliability, and operability in a production environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software, data platforms, backend infrastructure, databases, or distributed systems.
• Strong software-engineering fundamentals and production proficiency in Python or another backend or systems language, with the ability to work primarily in Python and SQL.
• Deep hands-on experience in Spark or similar compute framework, databases at scale, ETL/streaming, or backend/cloud platforms processing large data volumes.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling skills, including query performance, schema evolution, and analytics consumption patterns.
• Ability to debug unfamiliar systems across layers using logs, metrics, traces, and query plans.
• Experience with cloud production environments, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Security knowledge: IAM, least privilege, secrets handling, multi-environment deployments.
• Ability to make architectural tradeoffs and learn unfamiliar domains quickly.
• Experience with AI agents and LLM-supported workflow automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own systems end to end—from ambiguous needs through architecture, deployment, observability, incident response, and ongoing support.
• Construct data pipelines and products for batch and streaming ingestion, transformation, and serving paths.
• Build shared libraries, workflows, and abstractions to evolve the data platform and tooling.
• Engineer reliable distributed workloads and diagnose performance issues across systems.
• Apply security as part of the build: identities, secrets, access controls, and environment isolation.
• Improve quality through automated tests, data-quality checks, lineage, monitoring, and SLOs.
• Deliver usable consumption experiences via well-modeled tables, APIs, dashboards, and internal apps.
• Mentor engineers, lead reviews, and improve architecture, testing, and operations.
