Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our central Data Science and Engineering team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sunnyvale, CA or San Francisco; remote work is not available.

You will architect and build foundational data platform infrastructure for Crusoe's AI and cloud operations, designing scalable pipelines, storage, and observability. Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and operations to accelerate work and raise data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive software or data engineering experience.
• Deep experience designing and building data platforms, warehouses, data lakes, streaming systems, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Strong Python and systems-language skills (Go preferred; Java/C/C++ also valued).
• SQL mastery for data modeling, queries, and database design.
• Infrastructure-as-Code mindset with CI/CD, containers, and automation.
• Ownership and autonomy expected for early-stage data work; strong collaboration skills.
