Job description

Acworth, GA | $125K–$150K | Direct Hire

Hybrid: Monday–Thursday Onsite | Friday Remote

Are you a Data Engineer working hands-on in Microsoft Fabric who wants the opportunity to do more than maintain existing pipelines?

Atrium is partnering with a growing, established organization in the Acworth/Northwest Atlanta area that is investing heavily in its modern data platform and looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help build, scale, and shape the environment.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role working directly with the Director of Data & Analytics. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how data is architected, ingested, transformed, governed, and ultimately consumed across the business.

The environment is centered around Microsoft Fabric, and we’re looking for someone who has actually built within Fabric — Lakehouses, pipelines, medallion architecture, transformations and integrations rather than someone whose experience is primarily reporting or Power BI development.

What You'll Work On

  • Design and build scalable solutions within Microsoft Fabric
  • Build and optimize Fabric pipelines, Lakehouses, and ELT/ETL workflows
  • Develop data architecture using Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion principles
  • Ingest and transform data from multiple enterprise applications and APIs
  • Build integrations and custom connectors using Python, PySpark, SQL and REST APIs
  • Work with OneLake and modern Lakehouse/data warehouse architecture
  • Develop scalable data models and semantic layers supporting analytics and reporting
  • Partner with business teams across finance, sales, operations, supply chain and e-commerce
  • Help establish standards around data governance, security, access, quality and documentation
  • Enable trusted self-service analytics while maintaining a governed data environment
  • Support Power BI and advanced analytics without being limited to a traditional BI/report-development role
  • Help shape the organization's long-term data architecture as the platform continues to grow

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Recent, hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Experience building Fabric pipelines and Lakehouse solutions
  • Strong understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Hands‑on Python and/or PySpark experience
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating multiple data sources
  • Experience working with REST APIs and data integrations
  • Understanding of modern data warehousing, dimensional modeling and/or star schemas
  • Experience with Power BI, semantic models and self‑service analytics
  • Exposure to Azure and modern cloud data environments
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions

Experience with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Magento, WMS platforms, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Purview, Git or CI/CD would be a plus.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit a mature environment and keep the lights on.

You'll be joining an organization that is actively investing in its data capabilities and will have the opportunity to build, improve and own meaningful pieces of the platform. You'll work closely with leadership while remaining hands‑on technically and have visibility into how your work impacts the business.

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000, depending on experience

Location: Acworth, GA

Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite; Friday remote

Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire
