Job summary

Atrium Staffing is partnering with a global lifestyle and home furnishings brand to hire a Data Engineer who will design architecture, build pipelines, and develop BI tools using Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll collaborate with supply chain, sales, e-commerce, and finance to move data across the organization, from ingestion to dashboards and reporting tools that leaders rely on.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric expertise.
• Strong Power BI data modeling and DAX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures with Fabric across ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers.
• Build ELT/ETL pipelines connecting ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and WMS.
• Develop custom connectors and integrations using Python and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Create Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and self-service reporting solutions.
• Apply data modeling practices including star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Write complex SQL and optimize queries for large datasets.
• Support ML initiatives by building production-ready data pipelines and model-ready datasets.
• Implement data governance, quality, security, access controls, and data lineage standards.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical data solutions.

About the Opportunity

Atrium Staffing is partnering with a global lifestyle and home furnishings brand who is headquartered here to find a Data Engineer who can work across data engineering, solution architecture, and business intelligence.

This is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on how data moves across the organization—from designing the architecture and building pipelines to developing the dashboards and reporting tools that business leaders rely on.

You’ll work primarily within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem and partner closely with teams across supply chain, sales, e-commerce, and finance.

What You’ll Do

• Design scalable data architecture solutions across ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers using Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines connecting ERP, e-commerce, CRM, warehouse management, and other operational systems.
• Develop custom connectors and integrations using Python, REST/SOAP APIs, flat files, and EDI feeds.
• Build and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and self-service reporting solutions.
• Apply strong data modeling practices including star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Write complex SQL and optimize queries and pipeline performance across large datasets.
• Support machine learning initiatives by developing production-ready data pipelines and model-ready datasets.
• Implement data governance, quality, security, access controls, documentation, and data lineage standards.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering and BI standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–7 years of professional data engineering experience, including scalable data solutions and architecture.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Fabric is required.
• Strong Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, Row‑Level Security, and deployment pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines and data warehouse or Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong Python or similar scripting experience for integrations and custom connectors.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to machine learning data workflows and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Magento, or similar ERP/CRM/e-commerce platforms.
• Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
• Background in retail, manufacturing, or supply chain data environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview or other data governance/catalog tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
